Starting from customer’s MBD 3D data_packs including all technical information, LMA is able to setup its proper internal technical documentation, CN programs, working cycles, CMM programs, control plans and all related operating instructions for internal and external operations (i.e. surface treatments suppliers). Our engineering department uses the most common and advanced tools in the aerospace field such as CATIA V5, MASTERCAM, VERICUT and others.
This activity is the core-business of LMA. The production area has in fact 3 and 4 axis machining centers and high speed 5-axis CNC of last generation, including multi-pallet and FMS systems. Each piece is tested through dedicated software CMM in accordance with customer requirements.
LMA also manages the entire supply chain involved in manufacturing activities; from the raw material purchase to the execution of external NDT, special processes, surface treatments and internal assembling activities of assy and subassy.
All processes considered as critical or special by our customers, such as heat treatment, bearings installation, hardness and conductivity tests are executed and controlled by specially trained and qualified professionals whose skills are periodically renewed. Quality and production targets are daily monitored, managed and updated to ensure the highest level of performance and customer satisfaction.
LMA has created and maintains an efficient and functional Quality Management System complying with UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 norms and aeronautic specification norm UNI EN 9100:2009. This legislation allowed LMA to be included into aeronautical suppliers database created by leading world aerospace companies gathered in IAQG (International Aerospace Quality Group). The certifications are constantly renewed in accordance with the latest references. New certifications and qualifications can be developed and secured when needed and /or requested.
Upon entering LMA workforce or staff, each new resource is subjected to training activities inherent its competences to ensure adequate preparation for the execution of the job. Then follows a period of training on-the-job and specialized courses and final assessments to verify the effectiveness of this training and qualify the resource to perform the operations whether these are standard, critical or special processes. Following the initial qualification, each operator is subjected to periodic checks aimed at maintaining the same qualification.
LMA constantly implements, in cooperation with a specialized company, an internal ERP system that, through specific and user friendly interface, allows creation, control and visualization of technical documentation as well as the timely monitoring of each phase of production. This fully integrated system minimizes human intervention and the consequent risk of error and guarantees good planning, through MRPs, traceability and General Management of the WP.
